Other problematic eating patterns include emotional overeating, pica (eating non-food substances), rumination (chew and spit), night eating syndrome, and orthorexia nervosa (when extreme healthy eating becomes a problem).
Historic note: EDNOS (Eating Disorders Not Otherwise Specified) used to be a diagnosis given if somebody did not fit neatly into the definitions of anorexia or bulimia. This is no longer used, since Binge Eating Disorder has now been identified as the main other disorder.
