When you register for our online groups, we collect your name, email address, phone number and home address, your confirmation that you're 18 or over, and your agreement to this notice. Zoom also records when you join a session.

We use your details for two things only:

1. To approve your registration, including checking you're 18 or over.

2. If we believe your life is in danger, to contact you or give your details to the emergency services.

We never sell your details, add you to mailing lists, share them with other members, or use them to contact you about anything else.

We store your details with your explicit consent, which you give when you register. If we believe your life is in danger, we may share them with the emergency services to protect you, even if we can't ask you first. Data protection law allows this to protect someone's vital interests or to safeguard someone at risk.

Only a small number of trained volunteers can see your details. They look at your details once to approve your registration, and after that only if they believe your life is in danger. We keep a record every time this happens.

Your details are stored securely by Zoom, which may hold them outside the UK under approved data protection safeguards. We don't keep copies anywhere else.

We ask everyone to register again once a year, and delete the previous year's registrations when we do. If you ask, we'll delete yours sooner.

You can ask to see, correct or delete your details at any time. You can also withdraw your consent: we'll cancel your registration, and you can register again whenever you like. To do any of these, email support@eatingdisorderssupport.co.uk
